The Training Gateway Workshops are member-led forums which focus on topics that are current and relevant to HE staff. The workshops consist of a key-note presentation, case study presentations and networking to allow members to disseminate and learn from sharing best practice.
Summer CPD Workshop - 27th June
The Training Gateway in collaboration with KnowledgeLondon and the CPD Forum are pleased to announce their summer CPD workshop and networking event which will take place on Thursday, 27th June at the Westminster Business School, University of Westminster. Registration will take place from 12.00 with lunch and the workshop will end at 18:30 with a networking session.
The workshop will take the format of four interactive sessions around topics that we believe are important to the sector, followed by a presentation from Professor Jonathan Michie, Director of the Department for Continuing Education at the University of Oxford and a networking session.
The interactive sessions will include;1. Promoting CPD to UK businesses (What works, successes, tips)2. Value of accrediting CPD (Do clients want it, consider ILM, CIMA, CPD Accreditation Service & others)3. Selling CPD courses overseas (Why, barriers, strategy, tips)4. Successful marketing approaches (Including hard copy and social media, what works best, strategy & successes)
Each member will have a chance to exchange ideas and contribute to the four topics. After the event the notes from each session will be shared amongst the members.
The workshop will cost £50+VAT, unless you are a member of KnowledgeLondon. For KnowledgeLondon members there is no cost but you will still need to book a place online.
