Run by journalists for The Times, The Independent and others, this seminar offers a unique opportunity to learn the tricks of the trade from those at the sharp end.

Course Overview

We will show you how to unlock your writing, press and marketing skills, maximize your exposure in the press and target your advertising materials to boost awareness of your course, service or institution.

You will also learn how to improve your own writing skills to consistently catch a reader’s eye and keep it, informing and enthusing your target audience. As a delegate you will gain vital confidence in producing first class content for marketing material including course flyers, online content and your own articles.

The one day event will show you how to:
    * Identify great stories and sell them
    * Write press releases and tap into the value of sound bites and memorable quotes.
    * Produce compelling marketing materials and articles

Cost
The cost of this event for an individual is £295 + VAT. Please note there are a maximum of 12 places available for this course.

Timings
The training begins at 09.30 and finishes by 16.00. Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided.

Trainer Biography
Kate Hughes has been a Fleet Street journalist for over ten years. A senior contributor for theSunday Times, Independent, Financial Times, Sky News, and others she now combines her journalism career with helping professionals make the most of their written content, press releases and marketing material – both online and in print. As Editorial & Training Director for media solutions company Fit For Print, Kate splits her time between writing and helping professionals both improve their media relationships and hijack the tricks of the trade to create consistently effective material!

Clients range from FTSE 100 companies to family businesses and individual professionals – all of whom receive effective training from a journalist working at the sharp end of the media industry.
