The Training Gateway is a portal through which businesses can source training from any of the 162 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the country. Linked to the UK Universities CPD Network, these training needs are then passed to over 560 CPD and business development staff in the universities. Universities that can meet the training need will respond to your tender.
How do I submit a tender?
Click on the submit tender button on the home page. Fill in the following form including as much information as possible and click submit. The tender will then be sent to the contacts in our network, subject to approval, and replies either sent directly to you or managed by The Training Gateway.
How much does it cost?
The service is free. The Training Gateway is funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE). The Training Gateway is being used to collect information from the tenders that pass through the portal relating to the nature of business training needs and university’s capacity to meet the need. This information will be used to further inform HEFCE policy.
Troubleshooting
I cannot view the tender that I recently submitted?
All tenders must pass through an approval process before they are posted to our website. Tenders that have not been approved are not visible. If there is a problem with your tender we will contact you – if you wish to check the status of your tender please e-mail info@thetraininggateway.com.
If you receive a error message relating to your username and password please contact The Training Gateway.
I have not received any responses to my tender?
Our experience shows that it is unlikely you will receive prompt responses to full tender requests– universities maybe looking for partnerships, those responsible for the tender maybe otherwise engaged. Many of the staff involved in this work will have other duties as well as your tender. The Training Gateway will make every effort to advise you on how long a tender could take to be processed by a university.
Please note if you set a short deadline it is possible that universities will not be able to respond in your timeframe.
