Tuesday 9th September saw the regional launch of The Training Gateway in the East Midlands. Hosted by the East Midlands Development Agency, the event was the first in a series of regional events following the official launch of The Training Gateway in the House of Commons on 14th July 2008.
The event was attended by representatives from Aim Higher, The Learning & Skills Council and Lifelong Learning Networks, along with members of universities and University Associations across the region.
The Training Gateway will assist all representatives in sourcing training from UK universities as well as providing a managed service for businesses in the region.
Membership of The Training Gateway has grown significantly since the launch event, with the network now numbering 810 members. The number of tenders distributed has also risen considerably, each providing business opportunities for universities to further their role as providers of high quality training services.
Amanda Selvaratnam, CEO, demonstrated the web portal which enables organisations or their representatives to submit tenders which are then distributed to all members of The Training Gateway.
If you would like to contact the network for further information or to source training from the UK’s universities please contact Amanda Selvaratnam on 01904 435360 or e-mail info@thetraininggateway.com
