Making new contacts in international markets
The Training Gateway helps UK training provider establish new links in South East Asia resulting in business wins.
The Training Gateway was approached by Almarai, one of the largest dairy companies in the world to find a suitable UK provider to deliver a 5 week leadership and management training programme to its HR Managers.
The company was looking to invest in their high potential HR managers and help them develop their management and leadership skills and to develop their knowledge and understanding of the best practices and trends in Human Resources.
After being initially promoted by the Training Gateway on its portal, senior managers from Almarai visited the UK to discuss the outline programme with a range of UK universities who were then asked to submit a proposal.
The University of York Management School successfully won the contract and after some discussions on the programme content the contract was finally signed and the delegates arrived.
The 5 week programme consisted of 15 modules of teaching plus a range of company visits and private study sessions each week.
As well as seminars and interactive workshops, the programme also included the opportunity to network and share experience with UK HR managers and the regional Chamber of Commerce.
Feedback from the delegates was unanimously positive and they all agreed that the programme made a radical difference to not only their skills but their understanding of HR best practice.
