An education organisation is working on behalf of Bank Negara and other banking organisations to source financial trainers who can deliver certified programmes for the banking sector during 2022.

They are looking for certified programmes for senior-level staff ie GMs and above and should cover topics such as managing the finance sector during the pandemic and in the post-pandemic era.

The Ministry of Education in Malaysia is looking for a provider of Level 2 and 3 Qualifications for School and College Lab Technicians.

Since the pandemic started, the Asia Pacific regional demand for high quality, approved qualifications has increased dramatically.

However, the initial assessment by the UK Government’s Department for International Trade (DIT) shows that many local governments do not recognise qualifications delivered fully online by overseas providers.

In response, the Education team within DIT Asia Pacific is organising a virtual showcase event (4 August 2021) for UK online qualifications in key markets across the region.

DIT’s aims to build on the UK’s reputation in online education, including pedagogy, content, assessment and platforms that provide robust alternatives for regional students to obtain overseas qualifications in-country. Additionally, the goal is to help local governments recognise the UK as a trusted partner in delivering fully online qualifications and the frameworks that underpin them.

As set out in the ASEAN Comprehensive Recovery Framework published in 2020, promoting Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in education is a key approach to ensure an inclusive education delivery.

This event will support initiatives and programmes related to the Framework, and will also act as a precursor to our proposed activity around the next BETT Asia show.

A UK organization ( UKO) , headed by former CEO of UK largest awarding body, is seeking a strategic partnership with an OFQUAL Accredited Awarding Body (AB) to develop business in South Asia.

The UK organization has a strong marketing presence in South Asia and already has a number of institutions offering short courses in English, Business and Information Technology.

It already has in the pipeline a number of institutions that are offering courses in computing, business and hospitality. It also has already developed a number of courses in the construction, business and computing sector.

The broad outcomes of the proposed partnerships are

• Joint certification of qualifications with the OFQUAL Accredited Awarding Body as agreed from time to time.
• UK Education Organisation to assist the OFQUAL Accredited Awarding Body  to increase its presence in Indian Sub-continent where the UK Education Organisation is likely to grow rapidly by signing up Centres to deliver RQF Level 5 qualifications.
• The OFQUAL Accredited Awarding Body to assist in obtaining Ofqual recognition for UK Education Organisation customised qualifications as agreed from time to time.
• All qualifications to be delivered and assessed in accordance with UK quality standards

Virtual event: UK-Poland higher education and research virtual study visit – 24-29 June
 
Universities UK International, the UK Science and Innovation Network in Poland and the Department for International Trade team at the British Embassy in Warsaw are organising a virtual study visit of UK universities to Poland, between 24-29 June.

The visit will consist of a series of webinars giving an overview of the Polish higher education landscape and providing information on different dimensions of and opportunities for UK-Poland university collaboration.
 
The purpose of the series is to build mutual knowledge and understanding of the respective higher education systems, to identify opportunities to build new university collaborations in research and innovation, student mobility, and TNE and to give UK and Polish institutions an opportunity to meet and network.
