Prior Information Notice - Social Care Workforce Training

Council are looking to establish a framework agreement of training providers to cover training requirements under the social care workforce development programme.

The courses required to be delivered under this framework are:

• Moving and positioning passport (2 day course)
• Moving and positioning refresher (1 day course)
• Medication
• Infection control
• Food safety
• Epilepsy and rescue medication
• Paediatric emergency first aid
• Dementia basic awareness for domiciliary care staff
• ‘Top to Toe’ (inc. oral health care and mouth care, diet, nutrition and hydration, food care, pressure area care and personal care and continence management)

Each course will be an individual lot with providers able to bid for 1 or more lots.

The framework agreement will be for an initial 12 months and renewed annually for up to a maximum 4 year period.

A buyer event will be held on the 24th September.
