Firearms officers are required to complete module D13 ‘enhanced first aid’ from the firearms training curriculum each year. This is mandatory training and officers cannot be deployed without completing this training. Historically this has consisted of an initial course followed by yearly 2 day refreshers (a classroom day followed by a scenario day).
