Welsh Government intends to develop two new, pan-Wales, routes of initial teacher education (ITE) from academic year 2019; a part-time Post Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) and an Employment Based Scheme (salaried PGCE).

The requirement is for a provider (or partnership of more than 1 provider) to develop and deliver both routes working with the established regional education consortia.
