Simon Bedford
Simon Bedford has worked on contract for the Department for International Trade and prior to that UKTI for over 12 years. He takes the lead in the Yorkshire region for the education, skills and training sector, supporting companies and institutions develop and implement their international strategy.
Simon has led many Education focused trade missions to the Gulf and South East Asia, in partnership with the Training Gateway.
He has in depth knowledge of a wide range of markets from Europe and the USA, to the Middle East and South East Asia, as he worked for many years in the international division of a Belgian multinational.
Simon has co-written a range of international brochures for DIT and his book “Exporting Made Easy” is a practical guide to selling overseas through agents and distributors.
Simon runs regular export training workshops and seminars on a variety of topics for DIT, Chambers, and in house for companies. Simon is also an Associate Lecturer in International Business and Marketing at Sheffield Hallam University.
